This 1961 Cadillac Coupe de Ville is a spectacular example, lavishly equipped with options, and in excellent cosmetic and operational condition! The Cadillac of that year came standard with Power Steering, Power Brakes, Automatic Transmission, radio, power antenna, and heater. This car has the additional options of Power Windows! Power VENT windows! 6 way Power Seat! Factory Air Conditioning that Blows Cold! Remote trunk release and Soft-Ray Tinted windows! Autronic eye – which was an automatic headlight dimmer. WOW ! Look at that INTERIOR! It’s original, and in wonderful condition!

Gorgeous Steering wheel, with no cracks and perfect chrome and a brilliant Cadillac Crest center emblem. I always focus on steering wheels because it tells you if the car lived a good life, if it was garaged, and it’s the first thing you touch when you drive the car.

Another view of that awesome interior! I only noted one separation, at the forward edge of the fabric on the driver’s side.

Another beautiful detail that gives an idea of how great this car is – the excellent condition of the doorpanel trim, look at the embossed pattern. Most 61 Cadillacs don’t look this good!

And look how nice the chrome is on the interior trim! not a pit anywhere to be found! In many ways this car re-creates the new car experience!

Awesome and original! Note the dual switches – one for the window, the other for the vent window! All of which work, by the way.

6 switches for the windows – all 4 main windows and 2 vent windows. Then, the toggle switch for front and back on the seat, and the 2 tilt / up and down adjustments. The windows and seat movements all work!

Backseat in excellent shape! It’s original, and the vinyl has just a few little cracks, but they’re small and not visible in the photo.

Engine bay nice and clean. This car runs great! I drove it from Palm Springs to Fullerton on the freeway at 80 MPH with the windows up, the A/C blasting cold air, and the other freeway inhabitants giving me the thumbs up! at least I think they were thumbs!

that’s the original type of air conditioning compressor, note the new lines and hoses. The car lived in a hot climate, and the former owners wanted that air to WORK!

That spare tire is a US Royal 8.20 X 15. I bet it is the original spare! Also note the jack and cardboard trunk liners!

Beautiful wheel discs – because that’s the official Cadillac nomenclature for Hubcaps. Egad man! We do not install such a lowly thing as a Hubcap! We are Cadillac! We use Wheel Discs !!

What a beautiful car! Although it’s not a perfect show car, and it has a few very minor faults, it is still unbelievably nice, substantially nicer than most ’61 Cadillacs in condition and in desirable options!
