This 1969 Chevelle Concours Station Wagon is just spectacular! From the high quality paint and bodywork to the rebuilt 350 / 300 horsepower engine to the COLD factory Air conditioning, it is in delightful condition and ready to enjoy right now!
The former owner lavished attention on it – his attention to detail really shows! The car sits just right, thanks to a completely rebuilt suspension, including new springs! Those SS wheels and Radial T/A tires are perfect, and the window tinting gives it a subtle yet custom look.
I love the wheels and the SS badges. Look how thick the tread is on the tires, too!
There is the sun reflecting off the paint job. I really love this paint job! Also note the oval exhaust tip exiting just behind the rear wheel.
Tremendous documentation, all the way back to new, when it was sold by Champion Chevrolet in Manhattan Beach, CA. this is the actual original window sticker.
Here is the detail from the window sticker, showing the options!
And here is the original sales contract ! The price out the door back then was $4275. Marvin Lazer and his family kept the car until September of 2004, when the second owner purchased it and did the extensive restoration that you see now.
Here’s a good view of the SS stripes, which are nicely done, painted on.
Here’s the right side. Nice and straight. You’ll note the roof rack was carefully removed, giving it a super clean appearance, but done in such a way that it could be re-attached. The roof rack is included, except for the mounting feet, which were made of die-cast metal and did not survive.
Let’s open up the hood – WOW ! This really shows the effort of the restorer. this is the ORIGINAL matching numbers engine block, with HB code correct for the 350 / 300 HP 4 barrel engine. The factory A/C shows here, as does the Front disc brake metering valve. Look how CLEAN it is!
Here’s a subtle touch – the Edelbrock Quadrajet manifold, painted Chevrolet Orange! Nice! It’s a hint to the way the whole car was done – high quality, modified, but in a tasteful way
It’s only been driven about 8,000 miles since restoration.
Pretty clean underneath but not show detailed.
Note the sway bar, and the new front springs. The front suspension was completely rebuilt at the time of restoration, which was in 2005. All backed up by extensive records and receipts.
The interior is a combination of restored and really excellent original items. It’s lovely, it’s correct, and there are no rips or tears anywhere.
The dashboard is beautiful, with nice clear gauges, and excellent trim. Note the Tachometer peeking out. Every single thing on this car works! The restorer wanted to add engine gauges, which you can see below – but he took the effort to make sure the warning lights in the factory instrument panel still work too! That’s how detail oriented this guy was! My only complaint with the interior is there is a very small crack in the original dashpad, visible on the top left corner.
Here’s another view of the dash. This one shows the tastefully installed AM/FM/CD player – which sounds really great – mounted where the ashtray used to be, and done in such a way that you could re-install an ashtray if you wanted to. The original AM radio sits above, and it’s not working now. Other details to note in this photo are the disc brake pedal, and the cleanliness of the doorjamb.
Here’s the original rear mat – shows a little wear, but awfully good for the original! Those boxes are for the speakers.
This is a great car! It’s not a top show car, and not a rotisserie style restoration. It’s still just beautiful, one of the nicest frame-on restorations, or I should say restifications, that I’ve come across! The combination of excellent and thorough work, and full documentation make this a super desirable car!
