This 1969 Buick Wildcat Convertible is a one family owned car,  obsessively restored by a long time Buick Club member with all documentation back to new, including the actual original window sticker and sales contract! It is amazingly beautiful, done to a very high standard with many NOS parts used.

The car was purchased in Willmette, Illinois, at Foley Buick in 1969.  It was garaged, and protected from only 2 Illinois winters, when the family moved to Washington State,  and then in 1978 to Southern California, all of this documented by a huge  file of receipts and documents.  going all the way back to 1971!   Luckily the good care and early move to the west coast kept the car rust free, as we’ll see later in the undercarriage photos.

It was completely restored in 1986,  with documents showing full engine and transmission rebuild, and many, many, many other items to make that car look and operate like new.  It scored 384 of 400 points in Buick Club judging shortly after restoration,  and then 385 of 400 points sometime after 1993 according to the Judging sheets included in the file.   We’ll see these documents later in the display.  And, it’s been consistently and properly maintained ever since, resulting in a car that still looks almost new!

385 of 400 points!   Although this Buick Club judging form wasn’t dated, the form itself was “Rev 2-93”  ( you can see that just below where it says THE JUDGES DECISIONS AS REFLECTED ON THIS FORM ARE FINAL)  So this show must have been in 1993 or later.
