This 1925 Lincoln Judkins coupe is a very beautiful preservation car that runs great, and has been welcomed on the lawn of the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in the preservation class! It’s had wonderful care and great owners, who maintained it properly and carefully.
And here it is at Pebble Beach, with the green Ribbon that signifies successful Completion of the 70 Mile pre-concours Tour d’Elegance !
An action shot of the 1925 Lincoln Judkins Coupe motoring through the Big Sur coast during the Pebble Beach tour d’Elegance.
.
And speaking of action, here’s a video of the car in action!
And here it is today – a lovely car that’s easy to start and drive. The 3 tone colors are rich , with black fenders & top, light grey sides, and dark blue-grey hood.
The Judkins coupe styling is both sporting and tasteful. Love those drum headlamps !
The dual rearmount spares allow the car to look longer and sleeker!
Looks great from any angle!
Split rear bumpers, nickel plated of course, just like when it left the factory.
It’s a full CCCA Classic car for a reason – it was the best of it’s era, in styling, quality and workmanship.
Beautifully done wood spoke wheels. Note the Lincoln hubcap.
Note the swing-away “Fat Man” steering wheel, beautifully restored. The Seats and interior look original, but I believe them to be an older restoration effort.
Lovely wood steering wheel, with quadrant for throttle on the left, spark advance on the right, and a small horn button.
The dash and controls are gorgeous, the guage and switch faces beautiful. The speedometer, oil pressure gauge and ampmeter work great, but clock and odometer don’t work. There is an un-obtrusively mounted temperature gauge under the left side of the dash.
It would be nice to think the 28,020 is original but with the odometer not working there’s no way to know the correct mileage.
Good but older upholstery, done in mohair, with a couple of small tears & repairs.
Beautiful detail on the nickel plated doorhandles. Also note the nice pinstriping on the door accent lines.
Nice Engine bay, with the L-head fork & Blade connecting rod V-8 Engine of 357.8 cubic inches. Runs great – quiet in operation, excellent oil pressure, and runs cool.
With the fork & blade connecting rods, each bank of cylinders is even with the other.
Note the spark plug wire routing tube.
The original serial number, which of course matches the chassis plate on the firewall. Also not the Oil level indicator to the right.
Stock, authentic, and correct.
Great parking light indicators mounted to the cowl.
Hood ornament and Lincoln badge on the radiator shell.
Nickel plated headlamps and horn.
The doorlock – these doors open and shut like a bank vault, with that solid, multiple click sound that tells us the doors fit perfectly !
Black landau irons against a black leather top. Subtle and tasteful !
The oval window is a great touch.
By 1925, Ford was in control of the Lincoln Motor Company, you can see the Ford name on the step plate.
Here’s a nice detail of the split rear bumper and the frame extension to match the rearmounted spares.
The paint is older, and has a few flaws, such as the surface crazing on this fender.
Nicely trimmed – and original – trunk, with wool carpeting on the sides and a rubber mat on the floor. Lots of room here for luggage.
Detail of the inner trunk lid.
The original mat. This car has led a good life, and has had good, careful owners.
