This 1907 Buick model G Roadster was the subject of a trophy winning restoration, and is offered by the Vault Classic Cars dealership in Fullerton, California.
The 2 cylinder Buick was a powerful and luxurious car in 1907. It’s engine was an opposed 2 cylinder, with chain drive and lots of brass.
The tubular style radiator is accented by a brass radiator shell and the distinctive Buick script.
Here’s a great video that shows how to start the car.
Spectacular. Note the brass headlamps, and the acetylene generator box mounted near the runningboard. Of course the acetylene was used to power the headlamps. Be Careful with the matches!
Lovely Gray and Davis headlamp inscription.
Spectacular!
Note the AACA trophy badge on the cowl.
2 seat roadster seating capacity.
Note the oil tail lamp, and the muffler mounted below. This car is remarkably quiet.
I love these brass details.
Detail of the muffler and the chain drive rear axle. Also note the brakes mounted at the wheels. And, how nicely the undercarriage is finished!
Detail of the clutch/ transmission and chain drive mechanism.
And here’s a view of the forward cylinder of the 2 cylinder engine. the rear cylinder is 180 degrees , a “Flat” engine, so it all fits underneath the floorboards! The carburetor is a somewhat more modern item – it works nicely! of course the original carburetor is also included, but it doesn’t work as well.
Here is the crank, the original carburetor, a Buick Instruction manual reproduction, and the 2013 AACA National Trophy, all of which are included with the car.
Beautiful diamond tufted leather bucket seats.
Buick Runningboards, a very nice touch!
Beautifully finished floorboards and coil box.
Extremely high quality work throughout.
Brass steering column with engine control levers.
A beautiful, desirable and well restored car!
