1955 Cadillac 75 8 Passenger Sedan

Here is the 1955 Cadillac model 7523X, which is the 8 passenger sedan.  This car is a beauty, and it was originally delivered with:

  • Factory Air Conditioning – works!
  • 331 Cubic Inch Cadillac V-8
  • Power Steering
  • Power Brakes
  • Jump seats
  • Wool broadcloth interior – an unbelievably nice original interior!
  • AM Radio
  • Power windows – all 4 work like new

Wow!  Look how straight and nice that is!  Note the tires, they’re recent Coker Classic Radial whitewalls – just the thing to carry this 5,000 pound, 19.9 foot long car in style!

Note the reflection of the tree in the paint just to the left of the Fleetwood “V”.  The paint is deep and smooth.  Also note the Blue California license plate.  the former owners had this car for a long time – since 1971!  It was always kept indoors, and you can tell it was always a good car, even as it aged.

Nice and straight!

This car not only looks good, but it is very pleasant to drive!  It’s smooth and quiet, the visibility is good, and while driving it, it feels smaller than it actually is.

Very impressive!

Here is the astonishingly beautiful original interior! All in rich wool broadcloth. It looks great, and feels great!  This car has obviously had very good care.

Wow! Beautiful original seat patterns, lovely original dashboard, and a beautiful original steering wheel. Wow!

Let’s move on to the rear compartment – note the “Ostrich” pattern in the door insert, where the doorhandle goes through – it’s a very interesting and unusual pattern, on a hard shell material.  Gives it a rich look.

There are the auxillary seats.

Cigarette lighter, ashtray, and power window switches.

more detail.  You can see a tiny bit of discoloration of the fabric on the top edge of the jump seat, but it is awfully minor.

Another discoloration just to the left of the Cadillac Crest emblem.  I’m reaching for flaws, this interior is so original and so good, it is amazing!

Just Awesome!  And, it feels good, too, the padding and underlayment are supple and nice, it feels like it did when it left the factory.  There’s no deterioration of the foam, or anything like that.

Another detail of the rear seat. It is amazingly good, all the more so because it’s original.

Beautiful original headliner, those chrome vents are for the Air Conditioning system. It routes the cold air from the trunk mounted unit, and sends it all the way up front.

There’s the 331 Cubic inch Cadillac V-8 – running great!  Although it’s not show detailed, it sure runs nice, and looks like there has been consistent maintenance.

Note the correct A/C compressor.   The A/C actually works !

The rear A/C unit is really a powerhouse, furnishing air to the entirety of this big car!   Also note the trunk lining is still the  original stuff!
