This 1954 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith is a beautiful car, and it carries custom coachwork by Freestone & Webb, that includes a division window and a sunroof for the rear seat passengers.
The Lucas Headlamps accent the formality and beauty of the coachwork and black lacquer paint.
Excellent plating and chrome. Note the thermostatic radiator shutters work properly. The car drives exactly as it should, it runs nice and cool, and it evokes the proper Rolls Royce experience! It has the 4 speed manual transmission, with right hand drive.
Note the auxillary driving lights, and carefully placed turn signals.
Beautiful profile, Flowing lines, and straight panels.
More straight panels, and of course black shows it off fully!
Sumptuous leather, thick wool carpeting, and lovely wood cabinetry – the essence of Rolls Royce, distilled for your enjoyment! And speaking of distilled………………
The center cabinet has a nice set of crystal in case you find yourself thirsty while being chauffered in this fine automobile!
And fold out picnic tables complete the luxurious rear compartment!
If you were going to have Grey Poupon, you’d want it here!
Wow! Even the Chauffer gets to see the beautiful burlwood! The Wood is in excellent condition throughout, as are the gauges and interior trim.
The leather shows a bit of use, but it’s still soft and feels good.
Lovely wood on the driver’s door ( which is the right door! )
Here’s a view of the sunroof, looking forward.
Coachwork by Freestone & Webb!
Trunk is nicely trimmed, and includes factory jack and lugwrench.
Here’s the 6 cylinder Rolls Engine – runs great, silent, and cool.
Correct, authentic, and runs great
When Rolls Royce made the VIN tag, they did it with class!
More Rolls-Royce Luxury. The chrome Channel to the left of the vase is the division window guide rail.
It’s a lovely car, it runs great, and it has all of the delightful Rolls Royce luxury features. However, it is not a show car. I would say the paint is older, it is lacquer and has a few chips and scratches. I also note the door hinges seem not as tight as they should be, I would like the doors to close a little more easily than they do, there is some sag to the doors.
